About Erik Jackson

Hello, I’m Erik Jackson, an accredited Ayurvedic Health Counselor from the Kripalu School of Ayurveda. My journey with Ayurveda began unexpectedly in 2018, it seemed to have found me rather than the other way around. I was captivated by its straightforward yet simple approach to help individuals regain and maintain balance through a deep connection with their inner wisdom and the natural world.

In addition to my work in Ayurveda, I’m a certified yoga teacher with experience teaching across North America and in Thailand. Currently, I’m based in Ellsworth, Maine, where I collaborate with the team at the Sanctuary on Church Street and Steamy Buddha Yoga. My local engagements include participating via podcast on children’s mindfulness with Healthy Acadia, leading a mindfulness course for children at the Steamy Buddha, and teaching yoga, meditation and breathwork at local recovery centers as well as the Waldo County jail’s Reentry program.

My Ayurvedic practice focuses on enhancing gut health, mental health, cultivating positive daily habits, and improving sleep. I employ a holistic approach, incorporating diet, lifestyle changes, and herbal remedies. Ayurveda resonates with me personally because it teaches the art of daily living in harmony with nature. It addresses not only dis-ease but how-to live-in balance, considering the individual’s location, time of day, season, and stage of life. Ayurveda embraces the fluidity of life and its challenges, promoting small, manageable lifestyle shifts.

Offerings and Rates

Elevate your health and wellness, make it your lifestyle. 1 on 1 guidance to enhance health span, improve relationships (self and others). We have the option to meet in person or virtually.

 

Initial and all 90-minute consultations $120

o   An in-depth discussion of your health goals (long and short term) physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

o   Look at your complete history with the aim to uncover root cause(s) of imbalance.

o   Understand what balance looks and feels like for you.

o   Be heard.

o   Work collaboratively to put together a self-care strategy using diet, lifestyle, community, herbs and more.

 

Follow up and all 60-minute consultations $80.

o   Discuss what worked and what did not.

o   Continued collaborative effort to uncover source of dis-ease.

o   Refine or add to plan of care for continued, sustainable progress towards your health goals.

o   Emphasis on prevention, becoming aware how future imbalances may show discussing a pro-active approach to stay on the path.

 

Seasonal package, 4 sessions total $300

o   As the seasons (of the day, year and life) change, we adjust as well to maintain balance in accordance with the external environments.

o   Personalized guidance on how to navigate the seasons according to your individual make-up (Prakriti).

o   Enhanced education of how to implement Ayurvedic principles into your day to day and increased self-awareness.

o   Long term monitoring and support.

o   Access to future workshops, products and community cleanses.
